Welcome to Training Track!
Training Track is a program that is designed to automate the tracking and management of training and certifications for employees. It monitors upcoming training, sends reminders of training coming due and provides a robust reporting structure for training that have been completed.
Getting Started with Training Track
This section will help guide you through the steps and best practices to set up and begin using the Training Track application. If you have any questions or need any assistance, please feel free to contact us using the options to the right. Before getting started in Training Track, you should set up sites and employees in your account.
Step 1: Set Up Courses & Recurrence
You can add custom offline courses to Training Track so that they can be assigned and tracked in the platform. Both online and offline courses can be given a recurrence pattern so that they are automatically reassigned after an employee completes an assignment. This feature is useful to automate refresher training or to track re-certification requirements. This support article provides instructions to set up courses and recurrence. If you do not want to set up training recurrence, you can skip ahead to Step 4 to add offline courses to your account via import.
Step 2: Set Up Automatic Scheduling
Training Track can assign courses to employees automatically based on their addition to a site, department, classification, or position. This feature is useful for any training that must be competed by all employees in a given category. Click here for instructions to set up automated course assignment.
Step 3: Configure Communication Settings
You can customize how your employees and users are notified about task assignments on the Communications Settings page in the Administration menu. Be aware that these settings will control how far in advance of the due date your employees will have access to training (useful for recurring training), which days of the week notification emails will be sent, and how notifications are handled for employees without work email addresses.
Step 4: Import Training History
Training Track provides a process for importing training history so that all employee training can be tracked in one place. Courses that do not already exist in Training Track will automatically be added to the offline course list. Read more about importing training history in this help article.
Step 5: Schedule Training
Now that you have enabled any desired automation and imported training history for your employees, you are ready to manually assign training to your employees. Multiple training titles can be assigned to multiple employees simultaneously. You can also record completed offline training without needing to first schedule it in Training Track.
